What is Plyometrics?
What is Plyometrics? also known as "jump training" or "plyos", are exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in short intervals of time, with the goal of increasing power (speed-strength). This training focuses on learning to move from a muscle extension to a contaction in a rapid or "explosive" manner, such as in specialized repeated jumping. Plyometrics are primarily used by athletes, especially martial artists, sprinters and high jumpers to improve performance, and are used in the fitness field to a much lesser degree

The intro level is suitable for complete beginners or people with little experience of Muay Thai. Students are taught basic striking techniques such as boxing, elbows, knees and kicks. This is carried out in shadow work, drill work with a partner (learning attacks and defence), as well as pad work and bag work. Heavy sparring is not involved at this level.

The Intro level builds up core strength, flexibility and anaerobic fitness. Muay Thai traditions and etiquette are also introduced to students. Intro classes are taught in a safe and friendly environment.

Advanced is for students that has experience in combat sports and has been or who would like to compete on an amateur or professional level. . Students are taught basic striking techniques such as boxing, elbows, knees and kicks. This is carried out in shadow work, drill work with a partner (learning attacks and defence), as well as pad work and bag work. Sparring will be included in advanced level with the view of competing in a mixed martial arts or muay thai fight.

All levels build up core strength, flexibility and Cardio fitness. Muay Thai traditions and etiquette are also introduced to students. Intro classes are taught in a safe and friendly environment.

KIDS GROUP TRAINING


Kids Boxing teaches basic boxing skills and techniques such as; stance, guard, movement, jab, cross, hook. It increases strength and improves endurance. Kids Boxing class will include cardio calisthenics, shadow boxing, bag work, partner drills, pad work and core strengthening exercises. These skills will give kids self-defense tools as well as self-confidence while keeping them physically fit.

BOOT CAMP


Group Training or Boot Camps are available as an option.
Cardiovascular conditioning session include interval training this increases cardio fitness through Plyometrics
These classes burn calories and increase cardiovascular fitness through the use of full body, low-impact exercises such as the Prowler, battling ropes, TRX suspension system, medicine balls and more
COMPLETE STRENGTH - Full body strength training classes, based on training and progression the Squat/Bench Press/Deadlift/Press.
BOXING FITNESS boxing fitness sessions are based on padwork fitness drills and bodyweight exercise.

Group training can be a fun way to get in shape with friends.

With all types of training it is important to follow a good diet in order to receive the best result.

So whether you are taking part in PT or Combat Training eating well is crucial to maintain muscle strength and energy.

Fighter use Punches jabs and flexibility requiring strength, energy and endurance, which requires a balanced and nutritious diet to provide high energy to train and to fight.

Scott will advise you in your sessions the best nutrition advise for your individual needs.
